BLUE | MOUNTAINS (120x180 / 70x105 Ltd. Editions).
Somewhere over Canada / the US. October 2012.
a plane ride usually gives you the opportunity to look at the world from a completely new angle and see varied landscapes in the glimpse of a few hours. every time you look out of the window the scenery changes, from thick cotton-like cloudscapes to deep blue oceans, rugged mountain ranges, lush forests or dry deserts.
on my flight from amsterdam to seattle i was somewhere above the bordering area of canada and the us when i suddenly felt myself mesmerized by the beauty opening up underneath: a blue and seemingly endless mountainscape still covered in the remains of the morning haze, a sight that was almost surreal.
